This person would oversee the visitation of home-bound, ill, and grieving members and friends of First Presbyterian Church. This is a part-time position averaging 10 hours per week. - In cooperation with the senior pastor, making emergency, hospital, and home visitations
- Moderating the meeting of the Board of Deacons (whose primary responsibility is to provide care to the congregation), while providing them with vision and training to help them develop into a dynamic and passionate care team
- Overseeing the visitation of all homebound members living within a reasonable vicinity of FPC by the Deacons and communicating with the Pastor so that there is an awareness of all visitation needs and understanding of how they are being covered
- In conjunction with the Pastor and Session, overseeing of home communion including a list of recipients and administration schedule
